ANAPHYLAXIS REMINDER for NORTH CREEK! North Creek is a nut-free environment as there are children with life-threatening allergy (anaphylaxis) reactions who attend school. While the main trigger is nuts, eggs and sesame sensitivities are also present so please refrain from sending these foods to school with your child. Some students are also sensitive and allergic to milk, ice-cream, oats, chocolate, peanuts, and crustaceans. The school follows the VCH guidelines. We are working as a community to be supportive to those in this situation. Teachers and students are asked to wash their hands vigilantly and regularly, both at North Creek and in the Extended Day classroom at Anchor Point. Introducing anaphylaxis awareness is a wonderful way to introduce other foods for snacks and lunches to your child. Please consider using WowButter, a nut-free spread made with natural non-GMO ingredients. For more information, please visit https://foodallergycanada.ca/ Thank you very much for your attention and assistance.
